I had a dream…
That I spoke with the grandfather of surfing…
The great Duke Kahanamoku.

Politely I asked,
Mr Kahanamuku…may I sit with you a while?
You May, the Duke responded.

Together we sat in silence,
Listening to the sounds of the earth,
Finally, the Duke turned to me and said…

These are the first three verses set against a series of majestic coastal images by photographer - Skye Ventura. The entire verse, images and music is currently being made into a screen saver which will be offered for sale in an effort to raise funds for selected enviromental groups who support the preservation of our beaches and sea life. The initiative is personal and born out of my love for the sea and life-time passion for the sport surfing. I am currently jumping through a few 'royalty' hoops in relation to securing a familar tune selected for the backing. Once this has been resolved the product will be completed and available to view along with the identities of environmental groups involved.

At this stage I have no real expectation of what I can achieve but feel obligated to take part and make a contribution.
